Riley came into this world on Feb. 18, 1993, a Texan. The “Life of Riley” began. He lived in Orange, Texas; Knoxville, Tennessee; Hickory, North Carolina and at 4 years old made his home in Queensbury. He started out a Yankee fan but soon became a lifelong Red Sox fan, due to his father’s Massachusetts heritage.
Riley was a 2011 graduate of Queensbury High School. He loved sports of any kind and in any form. He played soccer, baseball, basketball and skiing, but his true passion was golf. He was a four year varsity letterman of the Queensbury Golf Team. At an early age, his mother would take him to the driving range and give him a bucket of golf balls to practice. He spent many Saturdays and Sundays watching golf with his mom. He attended his first PGA golf tournament in Rochester, it was the happiest we have ever seen him.
Riley’s love of dogs was a passion he shared with his dad. He was predeceased by Meaghan, Ranger and Ruby.
His last passion was finding his way as a young man. He was attending college and was setting his goal to finish his degree.
From the age of 15, Riley worked at Hiland Golf Club, where he made lifelong friends. He also worked at Amore Pizza for many years. Through Riley’s travels to Oregon, California and college, both places always welcomed him back when he returned to Queensbury. His career path was to work in the golf and food industry. Through friendships, work and school, Riley became known as Rilesdog, Rojo, Smiley Riley, Ri Ri and Riles.
